Designed in conjunction with active duty and reserve KC-135R, KC-10 and C-17 crewmembers, the FB4400XCB Extreme Cargo Bag is configured to exceed every expectation in every category. If youre a crewmember on a tanker or cargo aircraft and you put your gear through extreme punishment, then youve found the best constructed and configured bag available.
The Flyboys FB4400XCB Extreme Cargo Flight Bag Specs:
- Constructed fo a double layer of 1000D ballistic nylon. Inside and out this flight crew bag is durable.
- Heavy duty #10 zippers on all exterior pockets.
- Bottom utilizes ultra-rugged and extremely abrasion-resistant 1680D ballistic nylon.
- Three 11" long ABS plastic rails on the bottom keep bag elevated off ramp and aircraft floor.
- Main compartment is 16x12x12 inches. Easily fits 4 (four) 4 in. ring-binders and includes 3 removable/adjustable dividers for custom configurations.
- Twin side pockets are 12x12x3 inches. Spots for another 3-ring binder, flashlight, pens, tools etc for quick access to mission essentials.
- Front pocket is 4x8x3 inches with organizer slots, key clip and interior zippered security pocket.
- Flip fold "stealth" slip pocket holds documents, binders or folders up to 2 inches thick. Fast access - extreme convenience!
- Adjustable, removable shoulder strap constructed of 2" nylon webbing - all metal hardware and exclusive non-slip shoulder pad.
- Interior compartment reinforced with 1/4" thick bottom panel that supports anything you put in the bag.
- 2" webbing carry handle with super sturdy Velcro closure binding.
Main cargo compartment is big enough to easily hold four large 4” swing-hinge ring binders and also includes three adjustable, removable dividers so you can divide the main storage area to suit your needs. Lighter colored interior makes it easier to locate items in low-light conditions. Front accessory pocket has smaller zippered pouch, key ring and slip-pockets for flashlights, pens, tools, etc. We've employed rugged metal hardware and 2” seatbelt-grade webbing is used throughout. Shoulder strap is adjustable and removable and includes a non-slip shoulder pad that keeps bag firmly planted to slick nylon jackets. 1000D ballistic nylon is used inside and out on this bag, which makes it durable beyond any crew bag available. It's highly abrasion and puncture resistant.
Twin side pockets are generously sized at just over 12” x 12” x 3” deep and can easily store a slim ring-binder, gloves, flashlights, tools, etc. Slip pockets (not visible here) allow you to keep smaller items secured. Jumbo #10 zippers and pulls are is tough enough to handle over-stuffing and daily abuse. All interior material is 1000D ballistic nylon, making it ultra-tough and resistant to tears and punctures.
The 2” webbing you see here is designed to support the entire weight of the bag when the shoulder strap is employed. This design evenly distributes the weight of the bag across the entire chassis, not just at a single point. This bag is rated to 75lbs, but it'l go way deeper than that if you need it to! Lets hope for your shoulder's sake you never have to haul 75+ out on the ramp.
Triple rail-feet on the bottom are riveted with steel hardware to a ” thick plastic panel sewn into the bottom of the bag. These feet not only keep the bag firmly planted in the cockpit or cargo area of your aircraft, they also keep the bag off a wet or snowy ramp. The plastic interior stiffener on our FB4400XCB is 5-6 times as thick as the material used on other bags claiming the same capabilities. Our bag will not crumble, crack or fail. Adding to the extreme durability is the use of 1680D ballistic nylon for the exterior fabric on the bottom of this bag, making it very abrasion and puncture resistant.
