The G1000 Visual Tools is a Computer Aided Instructional (CAI) application used by both CFI's and students. It's a valuable tool to teach pilots transitioning from "steam gauge" cockpits to the Garmin glass flight deck. It's designed to help flight instructors visually convey to students' key concepts about the G1000 Primary Flight Display (PFD) and navigation principles and for the student to get a good visual of how the G1000 is displayed and operates.

The program can be used in a ground school classroom setting for both one-on-one and group training sessions. It includes integrated lesson plans that enable the instructor to increase training effectiveness. Also included is a basic flight maneuvers section, which dynamically demonstrates how key phases of flight are depicted on the G1000 PFD.

The application augments full G1000 flight simulators and is a valuable tool that flight instructors can easily configure to demonstrate core PFD and navigational G1000 operations.
