The Sky High Discovery Flight Bag is a fully padded duffle designed to protect all of your important gear. Sky High uses quality closed cell foam, not the commonly used open cell foam. Designed with full sized compartment flaps to allow easy access to all of your gear, before, during and after flight.
It has also included another variation of it's unique Co-Pilot patent feature, allowing easy organization and access of flight materials during flight. There is even a special stow-a-way pocket designed to hold most kneeboards. Everything is right where it should be, especially important during IFR flights. The spacious end compartments and innovative closure flaps make putting away or getting out your aviation headsets and other pilot supplies a breeze. The center compartment is large and has a double zipper opening with a padded divider to segment the compartment for easy access and storage.
As with all Sky High Flight Bags, they are fully padded, lined, and use the highest quality heavy duty straps, handles, zippers and buckles.

OK, I am a Sound engineer but I love pilot bags because they have so many compartments for accessories.
Overall, this bag rocks. It is a little large but compared to other bags in it's class, like a medium duffel with a rounded top. This bag does not fit in my bike's side basket. The pad on the shoulder strap is elastic and absorbs shock while walking (nice!). I find this bag to be quite lightweight compared to my past Man purses. I was a little worried about the quality of the zippers at first but they have held up well for the past few months. I modified the handles with velcro strap so they stay together in transit. The clips on the strap will break this year and are often over extended if I overload the bag. I will replace them with carabiners when they break. All in all I will probably get another one if it lasts another year.

I bought this bag so I wouldn't have all my books, headset, pens, flashlight, charts, kneeboard etc etc sliding around in the back of my truck all the time. I love this bag. I carry about 3 text books and note books, FAR/AIM, approach plate binder, AFD, 2 PTS's, log book, 2 POH's, headset, plotter, E6B, about 6 charts, various pens, pencils & highlighters, calculator, magnifying glass, flashlight, headlamp, sunglasses, kneeboard... you get the idea... this bag carries all that with room to spare, and let's me organize it so I can find everything easily. Best of all, it's got plenty of room but it's not enormous. I added a piece of 1/8" plywood wrapped in an old t-shirt in the bottom of the bag to add rigidity and stability, as it seemed to have a tendency to tip over if it was half full and unevenly loaded. I also attached a small carabiner to one of the loops on top of one of the headset compartments, so that I can distinguish one end (or one side) of the bag from the other. I keep my headset in one end and my POH's in the other, and was always opening the wrong end. The two side pockets also look the same, and the carabiner helps with that too. You could use a piece of string or anything for that matter. It's great being able to walk into a checkride or a ground school session and know that I have everything with me, and that I can find it all! All in all it's a great bag - amazing organizational capabilities, perfect size, nice and rugged - I expect that many years from now it will still be going strong and that I will still be pleased with it! These guys have the best price and the best service too.
